RPS15-I 250 W Intake-Airflow AC Power Supply

RPS15-I is the intake-airflow member of the RPS15 family. It is rated at 250 W AC for non-PoE switch system power, and its power-supply-side intake creates back-to-front chassis airflow. For ICX 7650, RUCKUS documents this supply on the ICX7650-48F fiber model.

Do not drop the I suffix

The I suffix determines airflow and must remain in inventory, quotation and replacement records. RPS15-E exhausts on the power-supply side and moves air in the opposite direction. Mixing direction with incompatible fan assemblies can break the intended thermal path even when the connector fits.

This is not a PoE supply

The RPS15-I rating describes system input capacity, not endpoint PoE output. PoE-capable ICX7650 models use a different RPS16 supply family. Validate the target switch model, approved hardware matrix and required redundancy before treating an RPS15 as a replacement.

Acceptance procedure

Match the full PID and revision, inspect the module and connector, confirm back-to-front arrows on PSU, chassis and fans, then test insertion, status reporting, alarms, thermal behavior and load-sharing or failover. Preserve a photo of the airflow label so a later service event does not substitute the E version.
