Plan the stack member role before ordering

This order targets the PoE+ access member of an ICX7450 stack. Its exact ordering table describes 48 one-gigabit PoE+ access ports and identifies the member configuration without an uplink module. The public ICX7450-48P platform page identifies the access interfaces as RJ45. Map the access connections and stack role for the actual unit; a fiber-access ICX7450-48F bundle is a different order.

Do not import uplinks from the non-STK bundle

Ruckus lists two 40 GbE QSFP+ uplink/stacking ports for ICX7450-48P-STK-E-RMT3 and adds the specific no-uplink-module qualification. The separate ICX7450-48P-E-RMT3 bundle adds four 10 GbE SFP+ uplink/stacking ports, which must not be presented as included in this STK order. Confirm the required stack connections, cables and optics with the installed configuration. The exact row does not prove that every transceiver or cable is supplied.

Check the power and airflow combination

The manufacturer STK bundle calls for one 1000 W AC power supply and one front-to-back fan. The 1000 W figure describes the supplied power unit; it is not a promise of a 1000 W PoE output budget or a dual-supply configuration. Size the intended powered devices against the actual switch configuration and applicable manufacturer power guidance, and verify the offered supply and fan identifiers before purchase.

Validate the support record as a separate purchase item

The STK-E-RMT3 and STK-E rows describe the same member hardware, while the RMT3 row adds three years of 24x7 remote support to the original order. The historical part number does not establish a new contract starting today or entitlement transferable to the buyer. Request the serial number, registration eligibility, current service dates and written support coverage. Keep this evidence distinct from the hardware inventory and quoted condition.

Review the discontinued platform in the deployment plan

The official ICX7450-48P page marks the base platform as discontinued on November 14, 2024. It is a platform planning signal, rather than an end-of-support date for the complete STK-E-RMT3 order or an individual service contract. For a replacement stack member, confirm software compatibility, operational support and the proposed migration timetable for the existing deployment.

The pictured module configuration is not evidence that an uplink module is included in the STK bundle, nor is it a photograph of the offered unit.
