The R850 combines eight 5GHz streams with four 2.4GHz streams. To specify 901-R850-WW00, record the destination country as well as the regional suffix; WW is not a claim of approval in every country.
For each proposed installation point, put the switch port, negotiated link speed and power arrangement on the design schedule. Confirm which power mode the deployed software will use. A powered-up status alone is not an acceptance test for the required radio and Ethernet configuration.
Ask for the exact label, mounting contents and separately supplied power equipment on the quotation. Test the intended mounting position, radio settings and client workload before approving a wider rollout. Agree the capacity test around the actual applications and devices rather than treating advertised radio rates as application throughput.
RUCKUS R850 official specifications and ordering reference supports the configuration checks. Select controller or cloud management against the exact release and entitlement, not solely against a product-family description.
901-R850-WW00 is the WW-region order for the dual-band R850. Its full radio configuration is eight streams on 5GHz and four on 2.4GHz. The order includes an adjustable acoustic-ceiling bracket but no power adapter.
The 5Gbps-capable port and additional Gigabit port are distinct interfaces. Under 802.3at Mode 0 the 5GHz radio drops to four chains; Mode 1 preserves eight chains but disables the Gigabit and USB ports. The manufacturer lists 802.3af with both Wi-Fi radios disabled and does not recommend it. Check the release-specific power mode before selecting a switch or injector.
Official R850 radio, power-mode and regional ordering tables. The detailed specifications below describe the AP platform; confirm the installed firmware, country domain and selected management option before relying on a feature.
