SRX5800X-B10-AC Alternating-Current Bundle Identity

SRX5800X-B10-AC is the AC-powered selection of the Juniper SRX5800X B10 bundle. Juniper's public chassis documentation describes standard- and high-capacity AC systems, but does not expose the complete B10 component BOM. Before ordering, obtain the exact chassis, processing, interface, PEM and power-cord part numbers instead of inferring contents from the bundle suffix.

Identify the installed AC system

Juniper documents a standard SRX5800 AC supply rated at 1700W with 200-240VAC, 50-60Hz input, and also documents a separate high-capacity AC system with different requirements. Inspect the PEM model and chassis revision first. Do not apply the 1700W value or standard-capacity supply count to an unverified high-capacity configuration.

Power-budget method

Calculate demand from the actual routing engines, fabric, services and interface cards, then compare the result with the installed PEM type and redundancy target. Juniper's standard AC design supports three or four supplies, with four providing 3+1 redundancy. Facility circuits must be sized for the delivered configuration and planned failure mode, not merely for nominal steady-state load.

Cords and facility feeds

Juniper states that AC power cords are ordered separately. Confirm the destination-country plug, cord rating, receptacle, circuit breaker and independent feed arrangement before shipment. Preserve cord and PEM part numbers in the receiving record so an apparently compatible but incorrectly rated cord is not accepted.

AC/DC separation

Do not install AC and DC supplies together. Juniper states that the chassis accepts one power type at a time; the first detected type determines the permitted type and an incompatible unit is disabled with an alarm. Use SRX5800X-B10-DC for a planned -48V facility design rather than attempting to combine the two power architectures.

Thermal and acceptance evidence

Confirm exact bundle and component inventory, PEM labels, cord PIDs, circuit allocation, redundancy, alarm-free operation, cooling and recognition of every internal module. Juniper's documented operating range is 0-40C with 5-90% noncondensing humidity, but the room and rack must be sized for the calculated heat load of the delivered card population.
