QFX10000-60S-6Q Exact Component Identity

QFX10000-60S-6Q is the mixed-density QFX10000 line card with sixty SFP+ ports and six QSFP-family ports. The 60 SFP+ ports support 10GbE or, from Junos OS 17.2R1, 1GbE; two QSFP28 positions support 40/100GbE and four QSFP+ positions support 40GbE.

Documented capability and exclusion

The line card is supported from Junos OS 17.1R1. When a dual-speed QSFP28 port runs at 100GbE, two associated QSFP+ ports in its group are disabled. Boundary: The six high-speed positions are not six independent 100GbE ports, and 1GbE on SFP+ is not supported by Junos OS 17.1R1.

Mixed-speed port-group design

Build a port-by-port plan that separates SFP+ access links from the two QSFP28-controlled groups. Check which QSFP+ ports become unavailable in 100G mode, verify 1G optic support against the installed Junos release, and reconcile power, optics and breakout inventory before change approval.
