Juniper's ordering table identifies ACX7509-FPC-4CD as an ACX7509 line card. The model-specific interface guide describes four QSFP56-DD ports, numbered 0 through 3. The card is a component for an existing chassis configuration; the ordering code alone does not establish an ACX7509 base or premium router bundle, power supplies, optics, cables or software entitlements.

Reserve one of the two supported slots

The exact 4CD interface table supports the card only in FPC slots 1 and 5. It explicitly marks slots 0, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 as not supported. These installation constraints determine whether the component fits the planned system: verify the chosen slot and installed ACX7509 configuration before budgeting for four high-speed connections.

Select a native link or a breakout design

Ports 0 through 3 have a documented default of 400GbE. Juniper lists native 1x400GbE and channelization from a 400Gbps port to 4x100Gbps, using breakout cables for the four-way mode. Four physical connectors are distinct from the logical interfaces created by breakout. The interface naming table shows native ports et-0/0/0 through et-0/0/3 and channel suffixes :[0-3]; actual interface names follow the installed slot. Specify the intended mode and supported transceiver or cable for each port.

Confirm release and error-correction requirements

The exact interface guide identifies FEC119 on 400-Gigabit Ethernet interfaces and FEC91 on 100-Gigabit Ethernet interfaces. Confirm the installed Junos OS Evolved release and the optical or DAC compatibility for the requested configuration rather than treating a connector type as sufficient evidence of a working link. Juniper's datasheet ordering description includes 200GbE and 400GbE; this page follows the documented 400GbE and 4x100GbE interface modes. A native 200GbE requirement needs separate release, slot and optics confirmation and is not promised for every installation.

The official ACX7509 hardware-guide drawing is labelled JNP-FPC-4CD and is retained without editing as a Series installation reference. It is not an offered-unit photograph, a proof of commercial ordering-code equivalence or a supplied-parts list. Ask for the actual ACX7509-FPC-4CD component label and confirm chassis compatibility, optical modules, breakout cables and software coverage in the quotation.
