The ACX7509-FPC-20Y order identifies a line card in Juniper's ACX7509 family. The exact Ethernet interface guide identifies twenty SFP56 ports, numbered 0 through 19. This is a chassis component; its model does not establish a complete router bundle, installed transceivers, power supplies or software entitlements.

Match the requested rate to the chassis slot

For slots 0, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7, the model-specific table lists 1GbE, 10GbE and 25GbE on ports 0 through 19. Slots 1 and 5 list 10GbE and 25GbE on the same twenty port positions; 1GbE is not listed for those two slots. The documented default is 25GbE. An unsupported speed setting leaves the port at its default speed and raises an invalid-speed alarm, so a physical connector alone does not prove that the requested link rate is available in the planned slot.

Plan speed changes around the port group

Juniper permits mixed rates within a port group, but changing one port's speed causes a link flap on all ports in that group. Record the installed slot, port group and Junos OS Evolved release before a maintenance change. Confirm the actual group boundaries from the applicable release documentation and interface configuration instead of treating every port as operationally independent.

Separate ordering capabilities from interface configuration

The ACX7509 datasheet describes the commercial 20Y order with 1/10/25/50GbE capabilities. The captured model-specific interface guide documents 1/10/25GbE with the slot limits above and explicitly marks channelization as not supported. Its configuration guidance takes precedence over the datasheet's broad statement about breakout options for platform ports. A 50GbE requirement needs separate confirmation against the actual slot, software release and supported optics; this page does not promise 50GbE or breakout operation in every installation.

Confirm the delivered component and optical plan

Before quoting, specify ACX7509-FPC-20Y, the ACX7509 slot, the required native link speeds, transceiver or DAC type and release. The original manufacturer illustration retains the JNP-FPC-20Y label; it is an official Series reference rather than an exact-unit photograph or evidence of included parts. Optics, cables and license coverage must be confirmed for the actual supply.
