JUNIPER ACX5448-L-PE FIB and VRF Scale Feature License

License scope for an installed ACX5448

ACX5448-L-PE is Juniper's ACX5448 routing-scale right-to-use order. The manufacturer identifies two thresholds: a forwarding information base greater than 256K entries and more than 512 virtual routing and forwarding tables. This is a feature-license order, not a router chassis.

Do not turn thresholds into guaranteed maximums

The official description qualifies both capabilities as subject to equipment limits. It does not specify an unlimited FIB, unlimited VRFs or a guaranteed simultaneous operating scale for every configuration. Match the proposed route and routing-instance counts to the installed equipment and software release before selecting the entitlement.

Keep platform and license orders distinct

The ordering row names ACX5448. Do not extend that wording automatically to ACX5448-D or ACX5448-M. The same datasheet separately lists S-ACX-400G-P-1 as a one-year Premium subscription for ACX5448-D and ACX5448-M, per 400G capacity and renewal only. It is a different ordering identity from ACX5448-L-PE.

Define the offered entitlement on the quotation

Ask for the target device, account or device association, activation route, delivery method and eligibility of the offered license. The ACX5448-L-PE ordering description does not assign a subscription duration or establish transferable or permanent use rights for the offered entitlement. Confirm those commercial terms and any separate support agreement before purchase. Physical equipment, optics and replacement parts require separate order verification.
