CE6810-24S2Q-LI Compact Optical Leaf Switch

CE6810-24S2Q-LI is the lower-port-count optical member of Huawei's legacy CloudEngine CE6810 LI range. Its model-specific front-panel layout provides 24 SFP+ service interfaces and two QSFP+ interfaces, so it should not be substituted with the 48S4Q-LI when rack port density or uplink count is fixed.

Port and media plan

Allocate the 24 SFP+ positions to the required GE or 10GE links only after checking the exact transceiver and cable matrix for the deployed software. Reserve the two QSFP+ positions for the approved 40GE, breakout or stack design and validate the matching Huawei media before installation.

Software baseline

Huawei's official Smart Link support table lists CE6810-24S2Q-LI with a V100R005C10 minimum for that feature, which differs from the 48S4Q-LI entry. Treat the installed release, patch level, feature licenses and target configuration as procurement evidence; do not assume that a feature available in a later CE6800 release is present in every unit.

Complete the rack BOM

Confirm the exact chassis part number, airflow direction, power and fan modules, optics, breakout cables, rack hardware and support entitlement as separate line items. A bare switch listing does not prove that redundant power or the required optical media is included.

Acceptance checks

Match the CE6810-24S2Q-LI label and serial, count 24 SFP+ and two QSFP+ positions, record the booted software, inspect fan direction and power redundancy, and test the selected optical links before production cutover.
