AirEngine 5762S-13W is a distinct AirEngine 5700 model, not an alternate spelling of AirEngine 5762-13W. Huawei publishes a separate model and controller-mapping record for it. Quotes, labels, controller support and lifecycle checks must use the S suffix.

Replacement compatibility

Before replacing a non-S unit or another wall AP, compare the exact feature and version matrix in Huawei documentation. Preserve the installed AP group, forwarding mode, radio profiles and room-port VLAN behavior, but do not copy a configuration until the target controller release supports this exact model.

Room interface plan

The wall-plate hardware profile provides two Gigabit Ethernet ports, with GE0 used for PoE input, plus USB and BLE. It does not provide PoE output. Document any wired room endpoint and its power source so the installation does not rely on an unavailable downstream PoE function.
