AC order with FIM-7921F

FG-7081F is the standard AC FortiGate 7081F chassis order. Fortinet specifies a 12U, eight-slot starting configuration with one FPM-7620F processor module, one FIM-7921F I/O module, two management modules and six 2500W AC hot-swappable redundant PSUs.

Platform scale and measured configuration

The 7081F Series table lists 405 Gbps IPS, 330 Gbps NGFW and 312 Gbps threat-protection throughput. Fortinet explicitly states that performance results are based on a six-FPM combination; the starting order above contains one FPM, so buyers must not treat those figures as guaranteed for the base shipment.

Power and module boundary

This PID uses 200-277 VAC at 50/60 Hz and is distinct from FG-7081F-DC. It also uses the FIM-7921F starting I/O module, unlike the -2 variant built around FIM-7941F. Confirm module population, airflow, input circuits, software entitlement and rack power engineering before procurement.

Interface context

The family supports accelerated 400GE, 100GE, 40GE, 25GE and 10GE slot types and lists four 10GE SFP+ SR transceivers in the system table. Actual active ports depend on the installed FIM/FPM inventory and configuration.
