FIM-7921F 7121F base order

FG-7121F is the standard AC FortiGate 7121F configuration. Fortinet's ordering table distinguishes it from FG-7121F-2 by the starting I/O modules: this SKU includes two FIM-7921F modules, whereas the -2 order uses FIM-7941F.

Chassis contents

The 16U twelve-slot order starts with two FPM-7620F processor modules, two FIM-7921F I/O modules, two management modules and eight hot-swappable redundant PSUs. Fortinet specifies 200-277 VAC at 50/60 Hz for the AC configuration.

Scale with an explicit test boundary

The datasheet lists 675 Gbps IPS, 550 Gbps NGFW and 520 Gbps threat protection. Its footnote states that FG-7121F performance specifications are based on a ten-FPM combination; the base order starts with two FPMs, so the published figures are not presented as guaranteed base-shipment performance.

Physical and interface context

The platform provides ten FPM slots and two FIM slots, onboard 4 x 4 TB SSD storage, and a system-table entry for four 10GE SFP+ SR transceivers. Confirm actual module population, power engineering, optics, software and subscriptions for the intended build.
