FC-10-0401E-928-02-DD Compatibility and Scope

FC-10-0401E-928-02-DD is an electronic Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) service entitlement for an existing FortiGate 401E. It does not include a FortiGate appliance, replacement chassis or physical shipment.

Platform-Specific Check

FortiGate 401E is the storage-equipped member of the 400E family, distinct from diskless 400E. Check SSD health, local retention, failover ownership and the exact registered serial before entitlement assignment. The platform record should state what is retained locally, how events are exported, who responds to disk warnings and which peer participates in high availability. Confirm the E-series firmware and lifecycle plan for the entire requested period. ATP renews security services for this asset; it neither supplies a replacement appliance nor resolves storage, backup or migration responsibilities. Local storage remains an operational asset to monitor; ATP does not replace disk-health or log-retention controls.

Retain the local retention purpose, SSD alert threshold, export destination and failover test result as separate evidence. Those records distinguish the storage-equipped member from its diskless sibling and let a reviewer verify that service scope and platform operations are governed independently.

ATP Services Included

Fortinet describes ATP as foundational protection for network and file threats. The current bundle includes intrusion prevention, anti-malware with antivirus and cloud-based sandboxing, application control and FortiCare Premium. Web and DNS filtering are UTP capabilities and must not be assumed from this ATP SKU.

Activation Record

For a DD order, this page deliberately does not infer a duration. Obtain the authorized Fortinet quote and record its exact start date, end date, co-termination basis, serial association and service geography. Procurement acceptance must compare those dates with the existing contract and reject any unexplained overlap. The quote, not the suffix alone, is the controlling evidence for entitlement length. Bind the order to the exact appliance serial, FortiCare account, customer region and existing contract record.

The quote-defined acceptance pack must retain the commercial line, authorized dates, account owner and reason for any co-termination adjustment. Do not convert DD into a standard annual or multi-year label in internal systems; preserve the quoted evidence so future reviewers can reconstruct the actual coverage interval.
