N9K-C9364C Hardware Identity

N9K-C9364C is the order identifier for the Cisco Nexus 9364C, a fixed high-density spine switch in the Nexus 9300 ACI spine platform. Cisco documents 64 40/100G QSFP28 ports and 2 1/10G SFP ports. Optics, cables, licenses and modular components are included only when itemized in the quote.

Sixty-four-port spine planning

Allocate each QSFP28 interface to a leaf, border, service or reserved capacity role and calculate the surviving topology after a spine link or node is removed. The two SFP management/service interfaces should not be counted as fabric capacity. Record APIC or NX-OS mode, release compatibility, MACsec requirements where relevant, optics and cable reach. Dense fabrics also need an expansion rule: define how many free spine-facing ports and how much alternate-path bandwidth remain before another spine or architectural change is required.

Acceptance test

Validate controller discovery or NX-OS configuration, bring up representative leaf links across the port range, and measure ECMP behavior during a spine-path failure.
