Cisco N9K-C9364C-GX is the Nexus 9364C-GX switch with sixty-four 40/100-Gbps QSFP28 ports. Preserve the GX suffix when checking the hardware and software plan: a nearby N9K-C9364C listing is a different ordering identity. Do not borrow the 400G QSFP-DD interface layout from another GX-series model.

Breakout support depends on the numbered port

Cisco documents two-lane breakout modes on all ports and four-lane 10G or 25G breakout on odd-numbered ports. Build the required connection map before ordering cables, then verify the supported optic, port mode and software release. A count of sixty-four cages should not be multiplied into an unconditional breakout-port promise.

Check the power and memory configuration explicitly

The specification gives a four-core CPU, up to 32 GB system memory, a 128 GB SSD and an 80 MB packet buffer. These are distinct resources. The power design uses two supplies for 1+1 redundancy, with supported 2000 W options; confirm the actual installed power type and matching airflow rather than assuming a particular option is included.

Deployment mode is a software and licensing decision

The GX data sheet lists ACI spine and leaf capability, while warning that hardware capabilities must be checked against software documentation. Confirm the intended NX-OS or ACI role, supported release and required licenses for the offered unit. Platform capability alone is not proof of an active feature entitlement or a supported migration configuration.
