IE-2000-16T67P-G-E Overview
Sixteen industrial access connections with sealed connectors
IE-2000-16T67P-G-E is the Cisco IE 2000 IP67 switch with 16 Fast Ethernet access ports and two Gigabit Ethernet uplinks. Its M12 connector arrangement is different from the RJ45 and SFP layout of the IE 2000U family, so an existing cable schedule must be checked before substitution.
Choose cables by port role
The Fast Ethernet connections use D-coded M12 connectors; the Gigabit uplinks use X-coded M12 connectors. Record connector coding, cable length and equipment-side termination for each connection. The model supports PoE/PoE+, but the complete endpoint load and power-source arrangement should be validated against Cisco's installation requirements rather than inferred from the sixteen-port count.
Mechanical planning
Cisco specifies a chassis measuring 241.7 × 300.7 × 81.5 mm and weighing 3.30 kg. Allow for connected cables and service access in addition to these enclosure measurements. The IP67 family is wall-mountable; do not automatically apply a DIN-rail mounting plan from another IE series.
Software and replacement checks
The configuration table lists LAN Base. Cisco identifies an Enhanced LAN Base image requirement for Layer 2 NAT, so confirm entitlement and the installed image when NAT is part of the design. For acceptance, match the full model label, connector map, power arrangement and required industrial protocols to the approved order.
