IE-2000-8T67P-G-E Overview
Compact IP67 switching for an eight-device connection plan
IE-2000-8T67P-G-E provides eight Fast Ethernet access connections and two Gigabit Ethernet uplinks in Cisco's IE 2000 IP67 range. It is a sealed industrial switch, not the similarly numbered IE-2000U-8TC-G utility model with conventional copper and SFP combo interfaces.
Confirm the physical interface
- The eight 100 Mb/s connections use D-coded M12 connectors.
- The two Gigabit connections use X-coded M12 connectors.
- The datasheet lists dimensions of 241.7 × 236.7 × 99 mm and a chassis weight of 3.26 kg.
Check both ends of the existing cable harness, including the connector coding, before ordering replacement leads. A smaller port count does not mean every enclosure dimension is smaller than the sixteen-access-port variant; compare depth and connector clearance individually.
Plan powered endpoints separately
This PoE/PoE+ model needs a power design matched to the attached devices. Cisco lists 44–57 VDC for PoE operation and 50–57 VDC for PoE+. Confirm endpoint demand and the selected source against the installation guide; do not assume that a separately listed power supply is included in the switch order.
Ordering and handover
Provide the model label, required software functions, connector schedule and endpoint power needs with an enquiry. Acceptance should include port-speed checks and operation of the intended powered devices under the approved site test procedure. Cisco has announced end of sale for this model, so include support eligibility and migration planning in the purchase decision.
