C1-C4500X-16SFP+ Standard-Airflow 16-Port PID

C1-C4500X-16SFP+ is the front-to-back, 16-port 10G IP Base Cisco ONE Catalyst 4500-X. The lack of the F airflow marker distinguishes it from C1-C4500X-F-16SFP+; the 24-port C1-C4500X-24X-IPB is a separate fixed-port configuration.

Optics and module audit

Capture the sixteen port states and every installed transceiver by PID and serial. Verify whether the optional network-module bay is populated, but do not advertise a module or optics as included unless the quoted inventory proves it. Preserve IP Base/Cisco ONE license evidence and a known-good configuration backup.

Cooling and power validation

Use only front-to-back fan and power variants that agree with the chassis direction. Check redundant supply operation, fan health, rack orientation, console access and sustained link tests rather than relying on a successful power-on alone.

C9500-16X is a migration reference

The exact PID ended sale on October 30, 2020 and support on October 31, 2025. Cisco lists C9500-16X as its replacement reference, but optics support, software behavior, power, rack depth and topology must be revalidated before substitution.
