Cisco identifies ASR1002F-SEC/K9 as an ASR1002-F VPN-plus-firewall bundle with AESK9, licensing and 4GB DRAM. The F platform is distinct from ASR1002-X and ASR1002-HX. Their memory, interfaces and forwarding capabilities should not be transferred to this older order.

Understand what is integrated

The ASR1002-F installation guide describes its integrated route processor, fixed ASR1002-ESP-F forwarding processor and integrated ASR1002-SIP10-F. Four Gigabit Ethernet interfaces are built in. The guide also illustrates optional installed shared port adapters; the photographed adapter is not proof that an offered SEC bundle includes it.
