ASR1002X-20G-K9 is the Cisco ASR1002-X 20G base bundle. Its exact ordering row specifies ASR1002-X hardware, the SASR1K2XUK9-XYS universal image, FLASR1-AES and the FLSA1-2X-5-20G performance upgrade. Include the complete license identifier in the quotation so that a router with only the base 5G entitlement is not accepted as the 20G order.

Reconcile the ordered tier with the delivered license state

For an existing ASR1002-X deployment, obtain the installed performance entitlement before selecting replacement equipment. Cisco distinguishes this 5-to-20G license from FLSA1-2X-5-10G in the 10G order and FLSA1-2X-5-36G in the 36G order. The chassis identity alone does not establish the licensed tier; retain the actual license inventory with the purchase record.

Keep additional security functions outside the base assumption

The 20G K9 base order is separate from ASR1002X-20G-SECK9, VPNK9 and SHAK9 packages. Neither the performance-upgrade code nor the AES package proves that their full feature sets are present. Document the required firewall, VPN or redundancy features and verify each entitlement against the chosen bundle.

Cisco EOL14624 lists this exact PID: sales ended August 1, 2022 and final support is July 31, 2027 subject to the applicable entitlement. Check the service status and migration requirements before treating a stocked unit as a long-term replacement.
