AIR-AP4800-B-K9 is a B-domain indoor 802.11ac Wave 2 analytics access point with internal antennas, a 4x4:3 client radio design, location functions and multigigabit Ethernet.

Hardware and regulatory boundary

Cisco documents a third listen-only 0x4 radio for analytics, Hyperlocation and wireless security monitoring; it is not a third client-serving radio. Controller, bracket, PoE and licenses remain separate dependencies.

Order acceptance gate

Confirm B-domain approval for the actual site, preserve mounting height and orientation, and record controller release, switch port, power result and location-service configuration.

Commissioning evidence

Validate client service on the two serving radios while confirming that analytics and location telemetry reach their intended systems. Keep measured cable and PoE evidence with the AP serial.

Lifecycle and migration

Cisco ended sale of the Aironet 4800 on 31 October 2022 and lists 31 October 2027 as its last date of support. Available inventory does not extend software or security support.
