AIR-ANT5140V-N is a 5 GHz-only direct-mount omnidirectional antenna for compatible Cisco mesh access points. Cisco specifies 5.25-5.875 GHz operation and 4 dBi gain.
This model does not provide 2.4 GHz coverage. It is intended for a 5 GHz radio port and should not be confused with the dual-band AIR-ANT2547V-N or similarly sized 2.4 GHz N-type antennas.
The vertical-polarized antenna has an omnidirectional azimuth pattern and 45-degree elevation beamwidth. It measures about five inches by one inch and connects directly through N-male, with no cable attachment.
Match the exact outdoor AP, 5 GHz port, regulatory domain and approved antenna list. Direct mounting limits feeder loss but transfers wind loading to the connector and requires proper weather sealing.
Cisco's official non-SIA lifecycle notice lists AIR-ANT5140V-N without a replacement. Inspect used inventory carefully and plan a platform-level migration rather than selecting a successor from gain alone.
