R2W96A Regional SKU and Radio Profile

R2W96A identifies the Rest-of-World regulatory-domain AP11. Its dual radios operate simultaneously: the 5 GHz 802.11ac 2x2 radio supports up to 867 Mbps and MU-MIMO, while the 2.4 GHz 802.11n 2x2 radio supports up to 300 Mbps. Regulatory-domain suitability must be confirmed for the deployment country.

Power and Box Contents

The access point accepts 802.3af PoE through its Gigabit Ethernet uplink or 12V DC power. HPE's ordering table states that PoE or DC power must be added for R2W96A. The standard box includes the AP11, quick-start guide, ceiling-rail clip, solid-surface clip and Ethernet cable; it is not a PSU bundle.

Instant On Management Boundary

AP11 uses the Instant On mobile application and cloud portal. It should not be purchased as an Aruba controller-managed or Aruba Central campus AP without first validating the architecture. A project order should also confirm RF domain, mounting method, PoE budget, client density and the required Instant On network design.

• Use R2W96A only where the RW regulatory domain is appropriate.
• Add an 802.3af PoE source or compatible 12V DC adapter.
• Plan management through the Instant On app or cloud portal.
• Do not treat the standard SKU as a power-adapter bundle.
