DC-powered SRX4100 with Junos Base

SRX4100-SYS-JB-DC is Juniper's SRX4100 DC hardware and Junos Base software bundle. The DC and JB portions are procurement-critical: this is not the AC system and it is not the Junos Enhanced (JE) order.

Firewall platform identity

The SRX4100 is a Services Gateway for data-center, enterprise-campus and regional security use. It is not a campus Ethernet switch. Juniper's platform data lists eight 1GbE/10GbE SFP+ interfaces and positions the SRX4100 below the higher-throughput SRX4200 in the same family.

Power and software checks

Confirm the facility DC feed, polarity, protective equipment and required cords before installation. Validate that Junos Base provides the intended feature set; do not infer Junos Enhanced rights, subscription security services or cloud licenses from this system PID.

Commissioning record

Capture PID, serial, hardware revision, DC supply details, interface media, Junos release, base-license state, configuration backup and support ownership. Test management access, all intended SFP+ links, policy processing, routing, HA design and rollback under the approved software release.
