ACX7024X-AC-2PSU adds the higher-capacity control plane

Juniper ACX7024X-AC-2PSU is the dual-AC ACX7024X order variant. It combines a shallow 1U chassis with two AC power modules and front-to-back cooling for Cloud Metro access and aggregation. The “X” model is defined by its control-plane and environmental profile, not by a different advertised forwarding rate.

Fixed network interfaces

Twenty-four SFP28 ports support 1, 10 and 25GbE, while four QSFP28 ports provide 100GbE uplinks. System throughput is 360 Gbps. Buyers must separately select supported optics, fiber and breakout cables and verify the intended port modes against the target Junos OS Evolved release.

Higher CPU and memory profile

ACX7024X uses an Intel eight-core processor and 64GB DDR4 memory, compared with the four-core processor and 16GB memory in ACX7024. Its documented operating range is 0 to 40 degrees C rather than the extended -40 to 65 degrees C range of ACX7024. A project needing outdoor-cabinet temperature tolerance must not select the X model solely for its larger memory.

Two AC supply modules

The two AC PSMs are preinstalled field-replaceable units and support continued operation through a single-supply service event when the system is correctly fed and within load limits. Each 90–264 VAC inlet needs a dedicated feed. Confirm C15 cord type, feed diversity, grounding and the 150 W maximum chassis draw without optics.

Deployment verification

Inspect the exact ACX7024X-AC-2PSU model label and verify both AC modules, airflow direction and fan health. Complete the order with compatible transceivers, cables, software licenses and rack accessories, then validate timing, management connectivity and temperature alarms during commissioning.
