ACX4000-AC starts with facility-feed compatibility

ACX4000-AC is the exact redundant-AC order in Juniper's ACX4000 table. It combines two SFP+ 10GbE interfaces, an eight-position GbE copper/fiber combination block, two GbE SFP interfaces and a pair of configurable MIC bays in a 2.5U hardened Junos platform.

Confirm the AC inlet specification before selecting cords

Juniper documents a 90 to 264 VAC operating range and 47 to 63 Hz nominal frequency, with 4.5 A maximum per inlet at 100 VAC and 435 W system input power. Procurement must state the approved regional cord and PDU connection for each inlet and preserve protective-earth and service-clearance requirements.

Prove power failover, not just dual occupancy

PS0 and PS1 are the two front power-supply positions. Two installed supplies share load and provide the documented 1+1 behavior; a second module that is absent or connected to the same failed feed does not create path redundancy. Commissioning should remove one feed at a time while monitoring alarms and forwarding.

Separate fixed interfaces from expansion choices

Two 10GbE SFP+ ports and two GbE SFP ports are fixed. The combination block supports copper or SFP use, including two 65 W powered RJ45 positions documented to IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at. The two MIC bays and all optics are separate selections, so record their part numbers instead of implying them from ACX4000-AC.

Acceptance sequence

Check chassis label, AC supplies, cords, fan module, MIC inventory, optics, powered-port load, alarm contacts, clocking and Junos version. Save the running configuration and a power-path diagram before moving metro or backhaul traffic.
