ACX2200-DC Overview
ACX2200-DC packet access for DC sites
ACX2200-DC is the DC-powered ACX2200. Unlike ACX2100, the official ACX2200 port map does not include sixteen T1/E1 interfaces; this model should therefore be evaluated as an Ethernet-focused access and aggregation router, not as a direct circuit-port replacement.
Build the Ethernet port map
Assign the four dedicated copper GbE ports, four copper-or-SFP combo interfaces, two dedicated SFP ports and two SFP+ uplinks before ordering optics. A combo interface can use its copper or fiber medium, not both at the same time.
DC and passive-cooling design
Juniper documents 20 to 30 VDC and negative DC operating ranges for ACX2200-DC, with passive cooling. Verify plant voltage, grounding, cable and breaker design, and retain the clearances required for a fanless chassis. Passive cooling does not eliminate site temperature planning.
Commissioning evidence
Confirm ACX2200-DC on the unit, validate the DC terminals and grounding, and test every populated copper, SFP and SFP+ interface at its designed speed. Record transceiver PIDs, Junos release, timing connections and the final management configuration.
