Copper access with four shared uplink resources

Huawei S5700S-28X-LI-AC, part code 02350HEC, provides 24 autosensing 10/100/1000BASE-T access interfaces and four GE/10GE SFP+ uplink interfaces. The switch does not provide PoE. Its four optical uplinks can also be used as service stacking interfaces, so a stack design consumes ports that would otherwise be available for uplink traffic. Select the transceivers and stacking connections together rather than treating these as independent sets of interfaces.

Apply the exact optical-module restrictions

The hardware guide supports GE optics, GE CWDM and DWDM modules, and GE copper modules operating at Gigabit speed. For 10GE SFP+ optics, the supported maximum reach is 10 km or less, and OSXD22N00 is excluded. These restrictions apply to this model even when a module physically fits its cage. Listed cable options include 1 m, 3 m and 10 m SFP+ cables, with the 5 m option supported from V200R009C00, plus 3 m and 10 m AOC cables. The 0.5 m and 1.5 m dedicated stacking cables are for configuration-free stacking from V200R011C10.

GPON selection changes the usable port set

Huawei lists the H87MMA5671A2 GPON optical module from V200R012C00. If one interface uses that module, the other 10GE SFP+ interfaces cannot be used. This is a configuration boundary, not an additional simultaneous uplink. Check the actual software version and required remaining ports before choosing a GPON module. The documented hardware version range is V200R008C00 through V200R012C00; it does not by itself establish current maintenance or upgrade entitlement.

Plan fixed AC power and the installation environment

Power comes from one built-in AC supply; pluggable power modules are not supported. An external RPS1800 can provide backup, but its cable must not be hot-swapped and inclusion must be confirmed separately. Rated AC input is 100–240 V at 50/60 Hz. Maximum consumption is 32 W at full traffic and fan speed; the 22 W typical value uses 30% traffic with EEE enabled under the ATIS test conditions. One fan draws air from the left and front and exhausts it to the right. The chassis is 442 x 220 x 43.6 mm, and its 4.8 kg weight includes packaging. Operating temperature is 0–45 degrees Celsius up to 1800 m, with the upper limit reduced by 1 degree per 220 m above that elevation to the 5000 m operating ceiling.
