S1700-52FR-2T2P-AC High-Port-Count Fast Ethernet Access

S1700-52FR-2T2P-AC expands the FR layout to 48 10/100BASE-T access ports while retaining two 10/100/1000BASE-T copper and two 1000BASE-X optical uplinks. It is designed for higher endpoint count, not all-Gigabit client access.

Huawei rates this model at 17.6 Gbit/s switching capacity and 13.2 Mpps forwarding. Account for the concentration ratio created when 48 Fast Ethernet endpoints share four Gigabit-class uplinks.

Media split

The two copper uplinks suit local electrical handoffs; the optical pair supports compatible 1000BASE-X transceivers. Record which links are active, which are redundant and how loops are prevented in the surrounding topology.
