AR611W-S wireless S-series order

AR611W-S is the wireless member of the AR600-S pair on this site. Huawei's AR600-S datasheet specifies one GE combo WAN, four GE copper LAN interfaces that can be switched to WAN, and dual-band 802.11ac/b/g/n WLAN. The W suffix is material: AR611-S is the wired counterpart and must not inherit WLAN claims.

Small-branch interface plan

Allocate the combo interface to optical or copper WAN service, then decide whether any of the four copper ports must be converted from LAN to an additional WAN role. Record the SFP, cabling, VLAN and management plan before ordering; the combo pair represents one forwarding interface, not two simultaneous WAN ports.

The official S-series table lists 1 GB memory, 1 GB flash, one USB port, one RJ45 console, fanless operation, a 24 W AC power source, 7 W minimum and 12 W maximum power consumption. The antenna-inclusive dimensions are larger than AR611-S, so keep clearance around the wireless chassis.

Receiving test

Check the exact AR611W-S label, WLAN hardware, combo WAN, four copper ports, USB, console and adapter. Load the approved software and test both wired routing and the required 2.4/5 GHz service before accepting it as a replacement.
