FWF-51E-BDL-950-DD is based on the exact Fortinet model FWF-51E. Fortinet includes FWF-51E among FortiGate platforms that can participate in the FortiGuard Security Rating Service under a specific managed-Fabric condition. It is not a FortiAP access point.

Security Rating role boundary

Fortinet states that FWF-51E can run the Security Rating Service when added to an existing Fortinet Security Fabric managed by a supported FortiGate model. The same statement does not make FWF-51E the Fabric root. Validate the managing FortiGate, topology and supported release before planning that function.

950 and DD are separate decisions
