FG-400F Overview

Map traffic to the right interface group

FG-400F belongs to the FortiGate 400F family, not the 60E series. Its X5–X8 interfaces connect directly to NP7 instead of passing through the integrated switch fabric. Both the ingress and egress interface must use that group to obtain the documented lower-latency path.

Do not count management as data capacity

The two GE copper HA and MGMT connections are separate from the sixteen copper data interfaces. Keep this distinction on the port schedule when replacing an existing firewall.
