Storage distinguishes the 2601F order

The official ordering table identifies FG-2601F with dual AC power supplies and two 960 GB onboard drives; the specification table identifies the drives as NVMe SSDs. FG-2600F has no onboard storage in that comparison. The DC-powered 2601F is a separate order code, so neither storage nor power type should be selected from the series name alone.

Plan linked port-speed settings

Fortinet groups ports 17–32 into four groups of four. Moving an interface between 25 Gbps and the lower 10/1 Gbps rates affects the other interfaces in its group. Record the intended speeds and optics before configuring a mixed-speed uplink design. Ports 33–36 support breakout, but changing split-port configuration restarts the appliance and needs a maintenance plan.

Keep control traffic and performance assumptions separate

The hardware architecture documents one NP7 processor for supported data offload, with management and HA interfaces on separate control paths. The sum of connector speeds is not a guaranteed inspected-throughput figure. Fortinet publishes workload-dependent benchmarks, and the higher session limits require an additional Hyperscale Firewall license.

Match the quotation to FG-2601F, the AC power configuration, storage, selected transceivers and required software services. Confirm condition, accessories and support separately; the hardware code does not prove seller inventory or an active subscription.
