FG-101F: 480 GB onboard-storage appliance
FG-101F is the local-storage member of the FortiGate 100F pair. Fortinet's ordering table identifies 480 GB onboard storage in addition to the 22 GE RJ45, four SFP and two 10 GE SFP+ FortiLink interfaces. The disk changes log-retention and failure-monitoring requirements; it does not make external backup unnecessary.
Storage health and retention evidence
Verify that FortiOS detects the disk, then record health status, logging allocation, retention behavior and alerting for capacity or media failure. Test a representative log search and export. Define which records remain local, which are forwarded and how evidence is recovered if the appliance is replaced.
Interface and media reconciliation
Ports 17 through 20 have shared copper and SFP physical choices, so the commissioning sheet must show which medium is active for each numbered interface. Preserve optic identity, negotiated state, X1/X2 FortiLink use, WAN and HA mappings rather than relying on a generic front-panel photograph.
