FG-100EF Overview
The eight-SFP member of the 100E family
FG-100EF is the Fortinet FortiGate100EF firewall with 14 Gigabit RJ45 interfaces and eight Gigabit SFP slots. The copper total comprises eight internal interfaces, two WAN interfaces, one management interface, two HA interfaces and one DMZ interface. This port mix is specific to 100EF and differs from the 100E and101E configurations.
Plan fiber connectivity around the actual SFP slots
The manufacturer table shows eight dedicated Gigabit SFP slots for 100EF and no RJ45/SFP shared-interface entry. It lists zero included transceivers, so confirm compatible optical modules, fiber type and reach as separate quotation items.
