FC-10-F6H1E-179-02-DD is the historical per-device FortiManager Cloud subscription for one existing FortiGate 601E. It provided cloud-based central management and orchestration; it did not include the firewall appliance, security subscriptions, managed operations or replacement hardware.

Supported Successor Path

Fortinet states that the FC-[model]-179-02-DD individual FortiGate subscription family is EOL/EOO. Current procurement uses capacity-based multi-device subscriptions, so a buyer must size managed devices or VDOMs and confirm the FortiCare account, region and migration path instead of ordering this old SKU as if it were current.

• Confirm appliance serial, FortiOS, FortiCare account, region, device or VDOM capacity and current replacement SKU.
• Back up configuration and inventory policy packages, local exceptions, scripts, administrator roles and revision history.
• Preview and test one reversible change, local result, audit trail, rollback and cloud-outage procedure.
• Record configuration authority, approvers, emergency access, unsupported items and migration acceptance.

Operational Evidence

For the 601E, build a migration inventory around configuration authority and audit evidence. Compare the live device revision, the last known central revision and any locally scheduled automation. Onboard under the current multi-device license, preview a package installation, make an approved metadata-only change and verify both audit trail and local result. Restore the previous revision, confirm no unowned objects remain, and document how local storage evidence supports investigations when central management is unavailable.

The 601E exercise combines configuration control with evidence preservation. Link the manager job, device-side event and retained revision to one ticket, then ask a read-only reviewer to reconstruct the action. Remove temporary permissions and prove the same reviewer can still inspect the record. This validates separation of duties without granting every investigator authority to change the firewall.
