The ordering token 0501E identifies a storage-equipped E-series campus platform. Record SSD status, retention purpose, central export and the exact registered serial. For a failed storage-equipped unit, the incident process must distinguish configuration recovery from the handling of locally retained data.

For the 501E, retain a drive-health snapshot, local-retention purpose, export verification and the person authorized to handle failed media. The campus recovery plan should identify the HA partner, rack access and how locally stored evidence is preserved or destroyed. A replacement workflow must not treat storage as an incidental detail, and the nonreturn decision belongs to Secure RMA policy rather than an ordinary delivery add-on.

The 501E recovery gate includes healthy local storage, expected log creation and verified export after configuration restore. Do not close the incident merely because interfaces pass traffic; the storage-equipped campus role must also resume its evidence duties.

4-Hour Hardware and Onsite Engineer Premium RMA

Fortinet defines this Priority RMA option as an eligible replacement part and an onsite engineer arriving under the four-hour service level; the part and engineer may arrive separately. The engineer racks and cables the appliance under the service description. Active FortiCare Premium or Elite, diagnosis, registration and geographic availability are prerequisites.

Confirm site access, escort requirements, rack position, cabling record, configuration-restore owner and the boundary between engineer tasks and customer change approval. Preserve the country service confirmation and escalation route. The onsite engineer does not remove the need for a tested configuration backup, network owner or authorized maintenance window.

Before Activation

The DD suffix does not prove a contract duration. Preserve the authorized start and end dates, covered address, serial, FortiCare owner, service geography and any co-termination terms from the Fortinet quote. Confirm the prerequisite support contract before accepting this add-on.
