URL and DNS Operations

The platform token 00307 identifies a storage-equipped E-series mid-range boundary. Retain the 301E serial, zone map, HA relationship, local-storage purpose, DNS path and central export. Do not substitute the diskless 300E evidence procedure.

Before major category or DNS changes, preserve the local event window and export it to the central repository. Link each exception to the application owner and record whether it applies to URL, DNS or video policy rather than using a broad bypass.

After policy changes, validate local logging, export continuity and the affected business flow. Storage health and failed-media custody remain separate operational controls even though this subscription itself is delivered electronically.

For 301E, start the change record with a local-log snapshot and export checksum so category disputes can be reconstructed after enforcement changes. Separate client browsing, server callbacks and administrator destinations into different review queues. Test whether encrypted DNS or an application-owned proxy bypasses the expected profile, and retain the result locally and centrally. If the appliance later fails, the evidence custodian decides how stored data is handled; URL filtering entitlement does not grant permission to return media.
