FC-10-00306-131-02-DD Cloud Procurement Check

FC-10-00306-131-02-DD is the FortiGate Cloud Standard subscription for one existing FortiGate 300E. It provides cloud management, analytics and one-year rolling log retention; it does not include a firewall appliance, replacement hardware or a managed operations team.

Before Activation

The DD form uses the dates authorized on the Fortinet quote. Record the exact start, end and co-termination terms; the service itself includes one-year rolling log retention while the commercial entitlement follows the authorized dates.

Before activation, match the appliance serial and FortiCloud account, confirm the intended management region, review administrator roles and define required log classes. For an HA pair, licensing and registration must be checked per device rather than assumed from the cluster name.

• Confirm administrator roles, region, HA licensing and compatible FortiOS.
• Define required log classes, reports, alerts, backup and retention ownership.
• Test cloud connectivity, event completeness, reporting and configuration recovery.

Logging and Recovery

The platform token 00306 maps to a diskless E-series mid-range firewall. Map the 300E serial, HA peer, sixteen copper and sixteen SFP paths, FortiCloud account, upload policy and reporting owner.

Because the platform is diskless, cloud log continuity is part of the evidence design rather than an optional copy. Define which traffic, system, web, application and security events are required before activation.

Test each required log class, report generation, backup retrieval and HA behavior. Alert on upload gaps and assign a named owner for restoring the off-box evidence path.

For the 300E, group cloud evidence by protected zone and by copper or SFP handoff so missing events can be traced to a real path. Simulate an upload interruption and confirm alerting, recovery and timestamp continuity. Retrieve a configuration backup and compare it with the intended HA peer state. Because there is no local-drive fallback, the evidence owner cannot close onboarding until all required log classes are visible and reportable off-box.

Included Function

Fortinet maps service code 131 to FortiGate Cloud Standard. The hosted service supports centralized device management, dashboards, traffic and security analytics, scheduled reporting, configuration backup, firmware workflows and audit records. An active device registration and compatible FortiOS configuration are required.
