N3K-C3164Q-2PK is identified in Cisco’s lifecycle notice as a 2 x Nexus 3164Q bundle. This page describes the two-switch order, while the technical values below remain per chassis. It must not be confused with a single N3K-C3164Q-40GE switch or with a software, optics or support bundle.

Per-switch interface and performance facts

Each Nexus 3164Q is a 2RU fixed-form-factor switch with 64 QSFP+ ports. Cisco states that each port supports native 40 Gigabit Ethernet or four 10 Gigabit Ethernet lanes. Per chassis, Cisco specifies up to 5.12 Tbps switching capacity and up to 3.8 billion packets per second forwarding.

Power, cooling and licensing boundary

The Cisco datasheet lists two redundant power supplies and 3+1 redundant fans per switch, plus management, console and USB flash-memory ports. Advanced Layer 3 IP unicast and multicast functions require an additional license; this bundle PID alone must not be represented as including that license, optics, breakout cables or support entitlement.
