C1-N9K-C93180EXB24 Two-Switch 100G Optics Bundle

C1-N9K-C93180EXB24 is a dual-switch Cisco ONE bundle. Cisco's exact PID row specifies two Nexus 93180YC-EX switches with eight 100G optics, selected as QSFP-100G-PSM4-S or QSFP-100G-SR4-S. It is not the 40G BiDi bundle represented by C1-N9K-C93180-B18Q.

Resolve the optic option before purchase

PSM4 and SR4 are not interchangeable labels. Reconcile all eight optic PIDs and serials, then document the matching fiber plant, connector type, reach and breakout use. Capture DOM transmit/receive levels and clean every parallel-optic connector before load testing. A quote that says only “8 x 100G” is incomplete.

Dual-switch parity and entitlement

Record both chassis serials, hardware revisions, PSU/fan airflow, memory and accessory kits. Confirm Cisco ONE entitlement ownership, Smart Account assignment, NX-OS or ACI image, boot variables, licenses and active port profiles on both nodes. Test peer/fabric links, MTU, FEC, overlay or routing state and failover under sustained traffic.

Lifecycle boundary

The Cisco ONE legacy PID reached end of sale March 1, 2021 and last support February 28, 2026. The underlying 93180YC-EX hardware ended sale August 9, 2022 and support ends August 31, 2027. Cisco identifies Nexus 93180YC-FX3 as the platform replacement; software entitlement and the chosen 100G optical design still require separate migration review.
