N9K-C93180LC-EX Flexible Port Profiles

N9K-C93180LC-EX uses configurable port templates rather than one fixed interface layout. Cisco documents up to 32 fixed 40/50G QSFP+ ports or up to 18 fixed 100G QSFP28 ports, with up to 72 x 10G connections through supported breakout cables. The target NX-OS or ACI design, optics and template must be validated together.

Power and Airflow

The hardware guide describes four fan modules and two power-supply positions for 1+1 redundancy. Port-side intake and port-side exhaust components are color-coded and must match. AC and DC sources or opposing airflow directions should not be mixed in the chassis.

Lifecycle Is a Procurement Constraint

Cisco's lifecycle notice lists August 30, 2020 as end of sale and August 31, 2025 as the last date of support. Cisco identifies Nexus 9336C-FX2 as the migration product. Any purchase should therefore identify condition, remaining warranty route, software image, licenses, optics, power supplies, fan direction and migration expectations.

• Confirm the exact base PID, not the spare PID ending in equals.
• Select the required port template and supported optics.
• Match every power and fan component to one airflow direction.
• Plan replacement because official support has ended.
