AIR-AP1852E-N-K9C N-Domain Configurable AP

AIR-AP1852E-N-K9C is Cisco's N-domain, external-antenna 1852e K9C order. The K9C suffix indicates a factory Mobility Express image; the N domain is part of the device identity and cannot be changed into the AIR-AP1852E-Q-K9C procurement record by software naming alone.

Country and controller gate

Confirm that the N regulatory domain is approved for the destination and agrees with the controller country before any RF activation. Capture the exact chassis label, certificate status, image version, primary/participant role and a restorable configuration.

Four-path antenna commissioning

Install only locally approved antennas and document four dual-band paths, cable loss, connector inspection, mounting geometry and post-install survey results. Antennas are purchased separately; an AP-only quote is not a complete coverage bill of materials.

PoE and lifecycle consequence

Validate both Ethernet links and sufficient PSE output. On 802.3af, the 2.4 GHz chain drops to 2x3 while AUX and USB are unavailable. Cisco ended sale on October 31, 2022 and support ends April 30, 2027, so retain entitlement and a Catalyst 9115AX migration owner.
