A9K-750W-AC is the Cisco 750W AC power module used by the compact ASR 9001 and ASR 9001-S platforms. Cisco lists worldwide-ranging 90-265VAC, 50-60Hz input for ASR 9001-S and identifies this PID as supported from IOS XR 4.2.1.

Platform fit is exact

This module is not the power tray used by ASR 9006/9010 modular chassis. Confirm the router label is ASR-9001 or ASR-9001-S, inspect the bay connector and match the hardware revision against Cisco documentation. A9K-AC-PEM-V2 belongs to the separate V2 tray architecture and is not a substitute.

Redundancy and facility input

The ASR 9001 family supports power-supply redundancy when the chassis contains the required pair. Verify both installed modules are the correct AC type, use approved cords, receive independent facility feeds where the design requires them, and report healthy state in IOS XR. One functioning module does not prove redundancy.

Lifecycle boundary

Cisco's ASR 9001 lifecycle bulletin includes A9K-750W-AC, with the platform's last date of support set to 28 February 2027. The bulletin lists no direct replacement PID for this supply. A procurement decision therefore needs router lifecycle, service entitlement, spare coverage and migration planning in addition to electrical fit.

Receiving and failure test

Record PID, VID, serial, input label, connector and cord. Check insertion/removal latch condition, fan airflow, PSU LEDs and IOS XR environmental output. Where maintenance policy permits, perform a controlled single-feed loss test and confirm the second supply carries the chassis without alarms or interface interruption.
