A9K-20HG-FLEX-TR= Transport Spare Identity

A9K-20HG-FLEX-TR= is the spare orderable form of Cisco's fifth-generation, packet-transport-optimized ASR 9000 2T combo line card. The trailing equals sign is part of the PID. This is the traditional transport hardware form, not the Flexible Consumption `-FC` commercial model.

Multi-rate port envelope

Cisco documents twenty 100GE ports, five 200GE ports, five 400GE ports, or a supported mixture not exceeding 2 Tbps. Five positions can be upgraded to 400GE through per-port licensing. Map each intended lane to QSFP28 or QSFP-DD optics and preserve the aggregate capacity calculation.

Transport feature decision

Use the `TR` identity when the deployment requires packet-transport behavior. Record the intended Layer 2, MPLS, timing, protection and transport-service functions and compare them with the target IOS XR feature set. Do not infer Service Edge scale or Flexible Consumption rights from the common 20HG hardware family.

Software and chassis readiness

Cisco introduced this family with IOS XR 7.1.15 and states it can be used in ASR 9000 modular chassis, subject to the documented platform matrix. Verify route processor, fabric, fan, power, optics and current supported release before insertion.

Spare replacement acceptance

Match the exact spare PID to the failed card and purchase record, then capture UDI, slot, software, license, port and optics inventory. After replacement, test every populated speed, FEC, traffic path and redundancy state. No chassis, transceivers or feature licenses are included.
