A9K-20HG-FLEX-FC= Flexible Consumption Spare

A9K-20HG-FLEX-FC= is the spare orderable form of Cisco's fifth-generation ASR 9000 2T multi-rate combo line card under the Flexible Consumption Model. It shares the 20HG physical family with `-SE` and `-TR` hardware, but its commercial capacity and feature rights are managed through the FC model.

Capacity activation ledger

Record physical PID, Smart Account, enabled 100G/400G capacity, software tier and subscription term. Cisco lists per-100G and per-400G RTU and subscription choices. A card that is physically installed is not evidence that every port or the complete 2T envelope is licensed.

Multi-rate interface plan

Map twenty 100GE positions or supported 200GE/400GE combinations, never exceeding 2T. Five positions can support licensed 400GE operation. Match QSFP28/QSFP-DD optics, FEC, lane use, peer capability and fiber budget to each intended speed.

Platform qualification

Verify modular chassis, route processor, fabric, fan and power support along with the approved 64-bit IOS XR release. Preserve configuration, capacity records and optics inventory before replacement, then test every activated speed, service and redundant path.

Spare and migration scope

The equals sign denotes the spare PID. Cisco names this FC family as the migration path for several older fourth-generation Flexible Consumption cards. It does not include optics, chassis, automatic feature activation or support service.
