A99-48X10GE-1G-TR Dual-Rate Transport Card
A99-48X10GE-1G-TR is Cisco's non-spare ASR 9900 7-fabric 48-port dual-rate 10GE/1GE packet-transport line card. It accepts SFP+ modules for 10GE and SFP modules for 1GE. It is not a 100GE or 400GE high-density card.
Forty-eight-port media plan
Inventory each cage by configured rate, optic PID, wavelength, fiber or copper media, peer, bundle and protection role. Mixing 1GE and 10GE requires explicit rate and optic validation; an SFP-shaped module is not automatically supported at either speed.
Throughput and traffic acceptance
Cisco documents this family as transport optimized. Preserve QoS, MPLS, Layer 2 and Layer 3 service mappings before replacement. After insertion, verify all populated links, optical diagnostics, error counters, queue behavior and redundant-path convergence under representative traffic.
Platform and software baseline
