A99-32X100GE-X-TR Fifth-Generation Transport Card

A99-32X100GE-X-TR is Cisco's non-spare ASR 9900 fifth-generation 32-port 100GE packet-transport line card. Its 32 ports provide a 3.2 Tbps physical interface envelope. The `X-TR` identity distinguishes it from the older A99-32X100GE-TR and from Flexible Consumption or Service Edge PIDs.

Dense 100GE engineering

Document all thirty-two QSFP28/QSFP+ ports by optic, peer, fiber, FEC, MTU, bundle and protection role. The port plan must account for front-panel thermal loading, supported optic combinations and failure domains instead of treating the card as a single 3.2T interface.

Fifth-generation platform dependency

Cisco's installation guide identifies this exact PID as a fifth-generation ASR 9900 line card and records IOS XR support beginning with 7.1.15. Verify the supported ASR 9900 chassis, route processor, fabric, fan and power combination against the running 64-bit IOS XR release.

Transport acceptance

Preserve the previous card's UDI, configuration, interface and routing state. After installation, verify PID/version/serial, card health, every populated 100GE link, FEC and optical diagnostics, packet errors, QoS/MPLS behavior and redundant-path convergence.

Order boundary

This non-spare PID is the packet-transport hardware line card. It does not include QSFP optics, chassis, route processor, fabric, feature licensing, installation or a Flexible Consumption subscription.
