A99-32X100GE-FC= is the spare orderable form of Cisco's fourth-generation ASR 9900 32-port 100GE Flexible Consumption line card. The equals sign and the full `32X100GE-FC` stem are required for exact asset and order matching. This is not the fifth-generation A99-32HG-FC= successor.

Hardware versus enabled capacity

The card exposes thirty-two 100GE positions, while usable capacity and feature tiers depend on the associated Flexible Consumption rights. Record the installed hardware PID separately from per-100G RTU or subscription records and reconcile both during replacement.

Fourth-generation compatibility

Confirm target ASR 9900 chassis, route processor, fabric generation, fans, 64-bit IOS XR and approved QSFP28/QSFP+ optics. Preserve the exact old-card hardware revision and software state because a 32-port count alone does not prove compatibility.

Cisco's lifecycle notice maps this spare PID to A99-32HG-FC=, a fifth-generation 3.2T Flexible Consumption card. The replacement changes generation and may change platform, software and optic requirements. Qualify it through a migration design rather than substituting it automatically.
