SRX4200-JSB Software Order Identity

SRX4200-JSB is Juniper's Junos Software Base order line for the SRX4200 platform. Juniper's current licensing reference describes JSB as the Standard tier for routing, firewall, switching, NAT, VPN and MPLS. This exact SKU is software identity for SRX4200; hardware system orders use separate `SRX4200-SYS-JB-AC` or `SRX4200-SYS-JB-DC` part numbers.

Higher-capacity platform match

Confirm the target appliance is an SRX4200 and preserve its serial, entitlement account and supported Junos release. Juniper's platform data lists up to 80 Gbps large-packet firewall throughput, 45 Gbps firewall IMIX, 20 Gbps NGFW, 25/38 Gbps IPsec for IMIX/1400-byte traffic, 500,000 connections per second and 10 million sessions under documented test conditions. These figures identify the compatible hardware class; the JSB line does not create capacity on a different SRX model.

Base-function acceptance

Build an acceptance matrix for the functions actually required under the base tier: routing protocols and instances, security zones and policies, stateful inspection, source and destination NAT, site-to-site IPsec, switching where used and MPLS services. Tie each item to an owner, representative traffic test, logging result and rollback step instead of treating a successful software registration as operational acceptance.

Advanced-security boundary

Juniper lists application security, IPS, URL filtering, antivirus, ATP Cloud, SecIntel and newer Data Protection or Edge Protection tiers separately. Do not infer those services from the letters JSB or from an SRX4200 chassis. Validate the required subscription SKU, term and account linkage whenever the design depends on threat intelligence or content inspection beyond the documented base functions.

Migration and support record

Before moving from another license tier or replacing a chassis, record current Junos release, configuration, feature use, licenses, cluster role and support entitlement. Reconcile feature commands with the new software entitlement, test cluster and routing convergence, then preserve proof that the license is associated with the intended SRX4200 rather than a similarly named SRX4100.

Order boundary

SRX4200-JSB is not an AC or DC gateway, power supply, fan tray, rack kit, transceiver, support contract or advanced-security subscription. For a new physical deployment, quote the proper hardware system order and all required accessories separately.
